Experience and Heritage: 20+ Years of Craftsmanship

Since our inception, Knitwear.io (Xindi Knitwear) has spent over two decades mastering the art of flat-bed knitting. Located in Dalang—the global capital of sweater manufacturing—our journey began as a small family-run workshop focused on hand-linking and manual knitting machines. Today, we have evolved into a high-tech manufacturing hub, combining traditional craftsmanship with the world’s most advanced computerized technology.

Our core leadership team brings a combined century of expertise to the table:

  • Production Management: Our master technicians have over 20 years of experience in gauge calibration and structural engineering.

  • Design and Yarn Science: Led by Tracy Guo, our design department specializes in yarn behavior, ensuring that a design on paper translates perfectly into a stable, wearable garment.

  • Global Operations: We have spent the last decade refining our export processes, ensuring that brands in the USA, Europe, and Australia receive factory-direct pricing with retail-ready quality.

1. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) Simplified

We understand that for emerging designers and premium boutique brands, massive inventory is a risk. We have structured our factory to be “Low MOQ Friendly,” allowing you to test the market without heavy financial overhead.

Product Type Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
Standard Sweaters (3G–12G) 50 – 100 pcs per style/color
Luxury Cashmere / Fine Gauge 50 pcs per style/color
Cardigans & Knit Jackets 60 – 100 pcs per style/color
Knit Dresses & Hoodies 50 – 100 pcs per style/color
Accessories (Beanies/Scarves) 100 – 150 pcs per style/color

Why our MOQs vary: The primary driver for MOQ is the yarn. If we use Stock-Service Yarns (colors already held in inventory by the spinning mills), we can often go as low as 50 pieces. If you require a custom Pantone-dyed color, the mill requires a minimum “dye lot,” which typically pushes the garment MOQ higher to cover the cost of the yarn dyeing process.

2. Our Exact Technical Experience

“Experience” in knitwear isn’t just about time; it’s about technical precision. At Knitwear.io, our expertise spans the full spectrum of knitting gauges and machinery:

  • Machinery: We operate over 200 computerized Cixing machines, ranging from heavy 3GG (chunky) to ultra-fine 14GG and 16GG.

  • Specialized Stitching: We are experts in complex structures including 3D Cable Knits, Pointelle, Intarsia, Full Jacquard, and Milano Ribs.

  • Fully-Fashioned Construction: Unlike “cut and sew” knitwear, our garments are fully-fashioned. This means each panel is knitted to the exact shape of the pattern, resulting in zero waste and superior seam strength.

  • Shrinkage & Tension Control: We perform rigorous pre-wash and steam-set tests on every yarn lot to ensure that the size 10 you order is the size 10 your customer receives after their first home wash.

3. Notable Clients and Collections

While we respect the Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) of our high-end designer partners, our work can be found on the racks of major retailers and boutique labels worldwide.

  • Global Fashion Groups: We have produced seasonal collections for apparel importers in France and retail chains in the USA.

  • Independent Designer Labels: We have helped brands in Germany and Australia launch their first “capsule collections,” scaling with them from 100 pieces to 5,000 pieces per season.

  • Corporate & Uniform Programs: We supply durable, anti-pilling knitwear for airline crews, hotel staff, and prestigious school uniform programs that require 100% color consistency year after year.

  • Influencer & DTC Brands: Our fast-sampling (3–5 days) allows Direct-to-Consumer brands to react quickly to social media trends.

4. Premium Yarns & Sustainable Materials

The foundation of any great sweater is the fiber. We source only from certified, reputable spinning mills like Consinee, Xinao, and UPW.

Natural & Luxury Fibers:

  • Cashmere: 14–16 micron fineness for ultimate luxury.

  • Merino Wool: Extra-fine (17.5–19.5 micron) for next-to-skin comfort and thermal regulation.

  • Alpaca & Mohair: Sourced for high-loft, “hairy” textures and fashion-forward aesthetics.

  • Cotton & Organic Cotton: Breathable and hypoallergenic, ideal for Spring/Summer collections.

Performance & Blended Yarns:

  • Viscose/Nylon (Silk Touch): Perfect for fine-gauge office wear with high color brilliance.

  • Anti-Pilling Acrylic: Engineered for school and corporate uniforms to withstand heavy daily wear.

  • Sustainable GRS Certified: We offer recycled polyester (rPET) and recycled wool for brands prioritizing ESG goals.

5. The Best Knitwear Types We Manufacture

Our production lines are optimized for specific product categories to ensure the highest quality output:

  • Signature Cable Knits: Our flagship product. We specialize in “Fisherman” styles, 3D braids, and intricate honeycomb patterns that maintain their loft and shape.

  • Fine-Gauge Essentials: Using 12GG and 14GG machines, we produce lightweight V-necks and crewnecks that are “clean”—meaning no stray fibers, perfect tension, and soft-hand feel.

  • Heavyweight Chunky Knits: 3GG and 5GG “Cardis” and oversized “Grandpa” sweaters that use heavy-ply yarns for a rugged, hand-knit look.

  • Seamless/3D Knitting: We utilize advanced technology to create garments with no side seams, providing a “second-skin” fit and a premium tech-fashion aesthetic.

  • Knit Accessories: High-quality beanies with custom embroidery and scarves with jacquard logos.
